Mustapha’s Place launches exotic treetop spa

Mustapha’s Place, a longstanding hotel, bar and restaurant on the east coast of Zanzibar, is launching a new mini-spa offering unique treatments such as exotic Zanzibar spice body scrubs and traditional “bongo” massage.The Casuarina treetop spa will be located high up above the hotel, with stunning views, surrounded by casuarina pines, palm trees and birdsong, providing the perfect environment for customers to relax. It also offers great value for Mustapha’s Place guests and visitors.

Culture Hamada, manager of Mustapha’s Place, says: “This new spa offers an exciting range of treatments at affordable prices, using local flower oils such as jasmine and ylang ylang.

“The organic body scrub we offer is handmade with honey, rose oil, cinnamon and cardamom, and the ‘bongo’ massage is a traditional Tanzanian massage in which the masseur uses their feet.”

Also on offer will be Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, manicures, pedicures and waxing, using a locally made lemon and sugar blend.

The hotel is set in idyllic gardens with coral sand paths and is located near one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, as chosen by Condé Nast Traveller.
