First Choice has today launched a search to find seven fun-loving kids from across the UK to join its family holidays Cool Pool Board of Directors and advise on what makes a pool cool. The lucky seven, will be invited to join First Choice’s own Cool Pool expert, Tommy Lynch, for an all expenses paid trip to its UK head office and a top pool. The children will get to shoot down slides and duck into waves, to provide their ideas on what fun activities a pool needs to make it great. All the advice provided by the children will be incorporated into a First Choice Splash Resort specification check list, which all hotels with Splash Resort potential will be judged against. There’s also the possibility of their ideas being included in a future First Choice pool!

One member of the Cool Pool Board will also win a family holiday in Turkey for them and their family to First Choice’s Splash Resort, the Aqua Fantasy Hotel and Spa, to test out some of the coolest pools and slides around in May half term 2009.

Cool Pool expert Tommy Lynch who travelled more than 27,000 miles last year to test out slides for First Choice said, “We understand how important swimming pools are to kids on their family holidays. In a recent survey we found a staggering 92% of kids said that they were in the pool every single day on holiday. Being such a vital part of their holiday, it’s important to get this right and there’s no one best placed to ask what makes a cool pool than kids. With their help we hope to ensure only the crème de la crème make it into the Splash Resort list.”

All entrants must be able to swim and need to be aged 5 - 12 years old. To apply for this exciting job, all children need to do is write a covering letter to First Choice explaining why they should be on the Cool Pool Board of Directors and include a picture of what your Cool Pool would look like. Applications can be scanned and emailed to First Choice or posted to Cool Pool Board of Directors, First Choice, Wigmore Place, Wigmore House, Wigmore Lane, Luton LU2 9TN. All entries must be received by 21st April 2009.
