Claus Sendlinger, founder and CEO of Design Hotels?, is on a mission! To reinforce a simple but essential core message: the human factor - the essence of Design Hotels? and its member properties.Currently on a 17-city tour around the globe, Sendlinger is introducing Made by Originals, the company’s new message, which emphasises the people behind the hotels - Originals such as the ubiquitous designer Marcel Wanders or race car driver and hotel developer Emanuele Garosci. They are passionate, creative, authentic individuals as unique as the properties they have brought to life. 

“The importance of ‘soft factors’ such as quality of life, and well-being is growing along with a re-discovery of simple human, even humble values. We are also observing growing human-centric innovation within the hotel industry and the Originals we’ve chosen to portray are just a few of the people from our member portfolio, who are driving this movement forward,” says Sendlinger.

The Originals are at the heart of the brand; their stories and their passion will be brought to the fore across all of Design Hotels?’ re-launched communication platforms. As of March 2009, Design Hotels? will have a new Design Hotels? Book, a new website, as well as a re-launched consumer magazine named New Directions.
