Finnair set for Cathay Pacific codeshare

Finnair and its oneworld alliance partner Cathay Pacific will start code-sharing on flights between Hong Kong and the three Australian cities Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, and also to Bangkok in Thailand.The code-chare flights are operated with both Finnair and Cathay Pacific flight numbers. At the moment Finnair flies to Hong Kong four times a week. As of April 26, Finnair will operate daily to Hong Kong with Airbus 340 aircraft throughout the summer season.

“Thanks to this cooperation, Finnair will be able to offer its customers more choices in Australia. The connections at Hong Kong airport are very convenient and the large number of destinations gives our customer flexibility in their travel plans,” said Director Commercial Partnerships Mikko Komi from Finnair«s Alliances and International Relations Department.

Cathay Pacific can sell tickets with its own flight number to Finnair-operated flights between Helsinki and Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London.
