Horizon adds Santa Rosa offering

Horizon Air has inaugurated new nonstop service from Portland to Santa Rosa, Calif., with one daily flight each way. “Horizon’s new nonstop service will make it easier to conduct business between the greater Portland/Vancouver area and Sonoma County while expanding tourism between these two popular vacation regions,” said Dan Russo, Horizon’s director of marketing and communications.

The flights will be operated with Horizon’s fuel-efficient, 74/76-seat Q400 turboprop aircraft. With its near jet-like speed, the Q400 will take one hour and 50 minutes to travel between Portland and Santa Rosa.

“Horizon’s new nonstop service to Santa Rosa is a natural link between two well-established wine regions,” said David Zielke, the Port of Portland’s general manager of air service development. “Both vintners and wine aficionados will appreciate the convenience of this service. Horizon’s continued commitment to the Portland market is the reason they consistently rank No. 1 at PDX.”
