Swiss-Belhotel International has signed a hotel management agreement with Sepang Goldcoast Sdn. Bhd for a new five star resort, the Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa by Swiss-Belhotel.Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa is located at Sepang, just twenty minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The surrounding area’s infrastructure is well developed and easily accessible via an existing road network. It takes a mere 1 hour and 15 minute drive from Malaysia’s capital city center and only 45 minutes from KL-Putrajaya.

The beach front features the sheltered waters of the historical Straits of Malacca. This stretch on the easily accessible western coastline is still secluded and unknown to many, which makes it a perfect ‘hide away’. Sepang’s coastal city development named ‘Sepang Gold Coast’ is aiming to become one of South East Asia’s top tourist destinations.

The soft opening of the resort is planned for 2009. The Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa will feature 607 rooms and a choice of four distinctive villa types. A studio-type 520 sq.f., Travelers Palm Villa, the 2 bedroom Canary Palm Villa with 816 sq.f., the Ivory Palm Villa with 3 bedrooms with built-up of 1192 sq.f. and the grand 2000 sq ft 3 bedrooms Royale Palm Villa, sitting 1 km into and with unobstructed views of the Straits of Malacca.

A comprehensive range of facilities will include the resort’s own spa, a gymnasium and swimming pool. There will also be a variety of restaurants, meeting rooms and a convention hall (to host events for up to 1000 persons) with facilities for water activities like fishing and water sports.
