US Airways agrees ANZ codeshare

Beginning this October, US
Airways customers will be able to enjoy travel between
the United States, New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands, thanks to a
codeshare cooperation with Air New Zealand, subject to both
United States and foreign government approval.With this new agreement, US Airways customers traveling to New Zealand and
Pacific Islands will be able to connect on Air New Zealand nonstop service
from Los Angeles and San Francisco.

  From the Auckland, New Zealand hub, US Airways’ customers can seamlessly
connect on Air New Zealand to popular destinations in New Zealand and
Australia.

  Conversely, Air New Zealand customers traveling to Phoenix, Las Vegas,
Charlotte, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh can do so conveniently, via US Airways
flights departing Los Angeles or San Francisco.

  “We’re delighted to offer Air New Zealand’s customers access to our hub
cities of Las Vegas and Phoenix, with easy connections to 97 destinations
throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico through US Airways’ extensive
route network,” said Andrew Nocella, US Airways’ senior vice president,
schedule, planning and alliances.

  Roger Poulton, Air New Zealand Vice President - The Americas, said, “Air
