Jamaica completes Irish trade mission

The Jamaica Tourist Board has recently completed a dedicated week long trade mission to Ireland.  JTB representatives partnered with Half Moon, SuperClubs and Sandals to visit 28 travel agents in Cork, Middleton and Dublin.

Torrance Lewis, District Sales Manager for the Jamaica Tourist Board said:

‘The relationship between Jamaica and Ireland has never been better.  The success of the Ireland team at the Cricket World Cup in Jamaica on St Patrick’s Day, and the recent Windies tour to Ireland have kept Jamaica top of mind over here.  The Irish are keen travellers and love the Caribbean, and figures from Ireland have increased consistently throughout this year.’

He went onto say:

‘The response from the agents has been great.  I’m delighted to say that many of the agents visited had completed the Jamaica Specialist Programme.  Anyone who has not completed the training should sign up now.  We aim to sign up the 2000th Jamaica Specialist by November and the lucky winner will receive a special trip for two to the island complete with a night in a 5 star hotel in London.’
