Hotelopia joins bmi loyalty scheme

Hotelopia have joined bmi’s frequent flyer loyalty scheme diamond club allowing members to earn and spend their miles on hotel bookings made at flybmi.com on over 25,000 hotels, whether large chains or smaller independent properties.

Members reserving a hotel stay will be awarded with destinations miles depending on the star grade of the hotel booked - from three star and above - earning 500 miles on a three star hotel to 1,000 miles per night on a five star hotel.  These destinations miles will then be available to spend on either a partial or entire hotel stay when booking again at flybmi.com or on a range of rewards with other diamond club partners.

Sotiris Damianos, director of sales & marketing at Hotelopia commented:  “diamond club members can really maximise the benefit of their membership by earning miles from hotel bookings made on flybmi.com and eliminating the need for separate hotel loyalty cards.  It is also a tremendous opportunity for customers to earn extra miles on thousands of new independent and chain hotels worldwide, and it gives them a new, easier way to redeem their miles too across thousands of exciting new accommodation options around the world.”

“This is yet another industry first for Hotelopia enabling airlines to launch a customer programme offering use of loyalty points on thousands of hotels worldwide, which was not an option to date.”

diamond club members can also earn miles with diamond club hotel partners (including Hilton and Radisson SAS), on all bmi operated flights, and on qualifying fares with Star Alliance airline partners.  Further benefits include, airport lounge access, priority check-in and complimentary food on bmi flights offering a paid-for inflight service.
