Le Meridian in UAE east coast drive

Having significantly contributed to the burgeoning tourism industry on the East Coast, Le Meridien Al Aqah will be exhibiting at the Fujairah stand at ATM 2007 for the 5th year in a row.
The hotel’s successes over the past year, which include winning the World Travel Award for Middle East’s Leading Beach Resort for the 2nd year running, hosting the region’s first Lifeguard Tournament and achieving record occupancy figures, along with Al Aqah’s long-lasting ties the Fujairah Tourism Board (FTB) and its chairman, HH Sheikh Saeed Al Sharqi, will be highlighted at this year’s event.

2nd UAE National Lifeguard Championships 2007, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 20 May 2007 at the world-renowned beach resort.

The championship, now in its second year, is open to teams and individual participants and aims to recognize these valuable, often lifesaving professionals whilst concurrently boosting awareness of water safety across the region.

Along with its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the hotel continues to enhance its offering with new additions and refurbishments.

Swaad, its popular Indian restaurant, has been redecorated to reflect the cuisine, with the director of food and beverage flying down to India for a few weeks to specially select each and every item, ranging from the crockery and cutlery to the art on the walls.

Spa Al Aqah is being continually enhanced to satisfy guests and cater to their demands. The Journey of the Month day spa offers, which were introduced recently, are designed to welcome and nurture the residents of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and neighboring Emirates. These journeys are a complete experience in the hotel, starting from treatments to healthy meals to swimming and relaxing in its beautiful swimming pool or by the ocean.

The hotel has also added crazy golf and a glass-bottomed boat, the first of its kind in the UAE, to its comprehensive list of leisure facilities.
