New appointment for Hotels.com

David Roche has been promoted to become Senior Vice President of both the Expedia Inc. owned Hotels.com business and Expedia Private Label unit, based in London. He retains his role as Managing Director. As part of his new role, David also takes charge of the Expedia Inc. European marketing forum, an internal centre of excellence promoting best practice across business units and territories.

David joined Hotels.com EMEA in 2003 and swiftly rose to become its managing director, also taking on responsibility for managing Expedia’s white label service, Expedia Private Label. Hotels.com EMEA now operates 22 sites throughout the region, which is set to increase in the coming year with its aggressive expansion plans. Expedia Private Label counts amongst its clients Eurostar, Greenbee (from John Lewis) and Formula1.

David holds an MBA from INSEAD, and a BA from Trinity College Dublin in Mathematics and Literature.

Dermot Halpin, President of Expedia Inc. EMEA said: “David’s work over the past twelve months has been a huge contributor to Hotels.com and Expedia Private Label, resulting in positive growth well in excess of the market.  He has rolled out new systems and technology platforms that see us on course for continuing sustained growth in the future.”
