The multi-billion dollar expansion of the airport in Jeddah will start within nine months, according to Arab News.The expansion of Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport is designed to accommodate the world’s largest aircraft, including A380 aircraft.

The Jeddah airport, which is the main entry point for foreign pilgrims, will have a capacity of 21m passengers a year, and is designed to take the Airbus A380 aircraft.
