Singapore gets 3 bids for Sentosa

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said it had received three formal proposals for the second integrated casino/resort development by the close of bidding for the project.
The authority received submissions from the following proposers:

? Eighth Wonder
? Genting International and Star Cruises
? Kerzner International and CapitaLand

“We are pleased to have received proposals from three accomplished players for the IR on Sentosa. As with the RFP for the IR at Marina Bay, we are confident that we will see very strong and exciting proposals.  We look forward to announcing the successful bid by the end of the year,” said Mr Lim Neo Chian, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board.
The consortium of Keppel Land and US gaming giant Harrah’s Entertainment, dropped out of the race a few days before the closing date for bids.

The government has fixed the land price for the site at 605 million Singapore dollars.

In May, the government awarded Las Vegas Sands Corp the right to develop the first integrated casino/resort at Marina Bay after it submitted a development proposal with investment totaling 3.6 bln usd.
