Thomas Cook ups long-haul extras

Long-haul flying will have more built-in luxuries for the average
passenger as Thomas Cook Airlines begins its Summer 07 operation with
a new Airbus A330.For as well as providing the latest high-spec seat back entertainment
and ultra-quiet engines, the aircraft - due for delivery this November
will mark a new dimension in Thomas Cooks long-haul customer service.

More features will be provided free of charge including headsets,
popcorn or ice-cream during films, personal care kits, soft drinks and
newspapers on in-bound flights. This will be in addition to a
complimentary upgraded meal and hot snack.

A range of additional luxuries and services will also be available at
extra cost including upgrading to one of 45 premium leather seats with
more legroom, enhanced service, greater menu choice and free wine.

Joanna Wild, Thomas Cook Airlines Director of Customer Services said:
According to our research, we already enjoy the highest level of
customer satisfaction among our competitors. Delivery of the new A330
has given us the opportunity to push out the boundaries even further by
making the whole passenger experience even more special.

The new 354-seat aircraft will be used largely on Caribbean routes and
will bring the Thomas Cook fleet to a total of 25 aircraft.

Glen Chipp, Managing Director of Thomas Cook Airlines UK added: This
will be the third A330 in our fleet and will be of great strategic
importance to us. It will allow us to have full control of an important
part of our long haul programme, rather than using sub-contracted
flights, and enable us to enhance the customer offer in ways which will
set new standards.
