United Vacations launches website

United Vacations is unveiling its trade-only website, www.uvagents.co.uk, in a bid to give agents more control of the booking process.
Among its innovations, VAX empowers agents to set (and modify) their commission levels.  They can vary both the total selling price and their own percentage, giving them that vital edge over their competitors.

The system enables agents to plan, price and book holidays to more than 200 North American destinations.  It delivers the flexibility to create tailor-made multi-centre tours, as well as to book simple one-centre holidays.

As they navigate their way through United Vacations’ virtual brochures, agents will find information on all major US destinations; hotel descriptions from A-Y (Adams Mark Hotel in Denver to Yosemite View Lodge); how to add free flights with bmi, from seven UK regional airports, to connect with United Airlines’ departures from Heathrow; and Hot Deals like ‘Kids Stay Free’.

They can view, download and print out brochure pages, or email them to clients and they can book United Vacations’ Ski Freedom adventure holidays online.

In the one-stop Vendor Centre, agents will find news of special promotions and agent incentives.

The VAX system also functions as a reservations management tool.  Agents can retrieve and modify holidays, regardless of the original booking method; email or print multiple itineraries before confirmation; and add clients’ special requests.

VAX Vacation Access was developed by Trisept Solutions, a sister company of United Vacations in the USA, and already powers reservations for nearly all the major US tour operating brands.
