Vacation.com is forging a new official card partnership with American Express.  This partnership follows the termination of Vacation.com’s long-tern relationship with MasterCard.

Dick Knodt, President and CEO of Vacation.com, commented: “In a dynamic industry such as travel, partnerships among key leaders such as American Express and Vacation.com are vital to staying ahead of the curve. No other card is as closely associated with travel as American Express.”

In addition to the Official Card partnership, Vacation.com and American Express will look for opportunities offer card-holders value-added offers as well as developming of a sales and marketing program for Vacation.com member agencies.

“American Express clearly values the travel agent community and at the same time, respects their Cardmembers’ loyalty to individual travel professionals,” said Knodt.

“A by-product of this new agreement will be a strengthening of relationships with many Vacation.com preferred suppliers,” Knodt said.  “Many of our preferred suppliers have ongoing initiatives for American Express Cardmembers which we can support and expand through our Engagement direct mail and email program.”
