Music lovers will be pleased to hear that the dates for the Bonaire
Heineken Jazz Festival have been set, the event will take place May 25 - 28, 2006.

A long-weekend for Latin and Caribbean Jazz lovers, the Bonaire Heineken Jazz Festival will feature a welcome, warm-up concert at Wilhelmina Park in Kralendijk on May 25, three main sessions at
beach locations (one per day on May 26, 27 and 28), sunset jazz times and late night jazz and jam sessions in cafes and restaurants with artists from the ABC Islands, The Netherlands and the U.S., and a jazz brunch on May 28.

Among the bands already confirmed to participate in the Festival are The Cubop City Big Band, a twenty-piece Salsa and Latin Jazz band from the Netherlands; Anastacia Larmonie, an Antillean singer, and her band; Konkie Halmeyer, a steel drummer from Curacao and his band Riba Tera; and the Bonaire Jazz Trio. In addition to Latin and Caribbean Jazz the event will also feature Straight Jazz, Swing, Fusion and Salsa performances.
