Europe, Asia Pacific tech alliance forms

Accuvia and Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) are forming an alliance to promote hospitality technology in Europe and the Asia-Pacific regions through HOSTEC events.  The alliance is being launched at HOSTEC-EURHOTEC 2006 (www.hostec-eurhotec.com) and HOSTEC-ASIA 2006 (www.hostec-asia.com).
The new alliance further expands the relationship that has been developed over the past few years between the HTNG and Accuvia.
As part of the alliance, HTNG will host a “HTNG Pavilion” at each of the HOSTEC events, where HTNG members will be invited to participate, and where information about HTNG will also be distributed.  HTNG continues to be an HOSTEC Association Sponsor and will participate in educational sessions in the Seminar Theaters, as well as a Networking Receptions during each event.  Future plans call for the alliance to be expanded to include an HTNG Technology Thought Leadership conference to run alongside HOSTEC.
Douglas C. Rice, the Executive Director of HTNG commented:  “Nearly 30% of our members are based in Europe and Asia, and the vast majority of the remainder have significant operations in those markets.  Partnering with Accuvia and HOSTEC will provide HTNG with more and better opportunities to showcase the work that our members are already doing, and to educate the industry about future technologies that will impact our industry.”
Rob Grimes, the Chairman & CEO of Accuvia, adds “Accuvia’s overall goals are to help in the promotion and education of technology throughout the industries we serve.  By partnering with groups such as HTNG and other trade associations, we are able to advance these objectives.  We are very excited about the opportunities this relationship brings to the hospitality industry on a global basis, and are very pleased to be a part of helping to make it happen with HTNG.”
