Tiger Air offers $1 Darwin flights

Tiger Airways, Singapore’s low fare airline, is offering the lowest ever fares from Singapore to Australia, with seats to Darwin at just S$1 one way (excluding taxes).
The special new route promotional fare will be offered from 12 December until Friday, 16 December 2005 for departures from Monday 19 December 2005 to Friday, 30 December 2005.

The special fare is only available for flights from Singapore to Darwin and not for flights originating from Darwin. The S$1 fare is also available only if customers purchase their seats online.

“This promotional fare is ideal for passengers who want to take a short break in Australia over the Christmas holiday period. They are unlikely to find a better deal to fly to Australia from Singapore. So if this arrangement suits you just go to our new revamped website, www.tigerairways.com and make a booking, said Tiger Airways CEO, Tony Davis.

Tiger Airways starts flying from Singapore to Darwin on Monday, 19 December 2005. There will be four flights per week. Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia and the nearest Australian Capital city to major Asian markets, being only four hours flying time from Singapore.

Tiger Airways is Singapore’s largest and most popular low fare airline, serving 13 cities in seven countries (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Macau SAR, the Philippines, Australia and Indonesia).
