Emirates’ owned and managed Al Maha
Desert Resort & Spa has been certified as ‘Leading Spas for 2006’ by The
Leading Hotels of the World Ltd.
Al Maha Vice President, Tony Williams said: “We are delighted to be named
one of the ‘Leading Spas of the World for 2006’. This recognition is even
more special to us as Al Maha’s Jamilah Spa is designed and managed by the
resort, and not out-sourced as is the industry norm.”

Mr. Williams added: “Jamilah spa has also developed its own unique product
range, “Timeless”, which uses local ingredients such as dates and
frankincense, known to have curative effects. The “Timeless” range of
treatments was developed by us in conjunction with leading spa product
manufacturer BABOR AG of Germany.”

Mr. Williams noted: “It is also a proud moment for the entire Al Maha staff
as a separate mystery guest assessment carried out by the Leading Hotels of
the World revealed that Al Maha scored substantially above the industry
average in all categories with particularly high ratings in Front Office
Service, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and an exceptional rating in the
Overall Product. It is also worth mentioning that two staff members from
our small, secluded resort have been nominated for the Annual Leading Staff
Members Award - an international award in which all Leading Hotels of the
World participate.”
