Bombings impact on JAL services

JAL has decided to reduce flight frequency and change routings on its Japan-Indonesia flights from 30 October 2005, following a significant decrease in passenger demand from Japan resulting from the terrorist bombing on Bali Island on 1 October. JAL say that the changes are temporary and will be in effect until 22 December 2005. The airline currently provides three daily direct services between Japan and Indonesia: Tokyo (Narita) - Denpasa (Bali); Osaka (Kansai) - Denpasar and Tokyo (Narita) - Jakarta.
