Flybe Add Onboard Luxury

Flybe, one of Europe’s largest low cost airlines, today announces the launch of a new range of luxury on-board sandwiches for the low cost carrier’s ‘Deli in the Sky’ in-flight menu created by celebrity chef and restaurateur, Brian Turner.ÊÊ As the first on-board celebrity endorsed product to be offered by an airline, the new sandwich range consolidates Flybe’s position as a pioneer within the low cost sector.
The range will be given significant presence in all on-board communication to include the in-flight magazine and shopping guides.

Flybe’s new selection of tasty, traditional sandwiches has been developed to tantalise Britons’ traditional taste buds and challenge perceptions of airline food, particularly on low cost flights.Ê

Reflecting the nation’s love of British classics, Flybe’s new on-board sandwich selection has been created by one of the great ambassadors of traditional cooking, celebrity chef, Brian Turner.

Brian Turner comments: “Why do airlines try to do things that just don’t work in the sky when a simple sandwich is perfection? Just take great produce and serve as fresh as possible.”

“Traditionally, Britons favour simple, classic sandwiches and with his no-nonsense philosophy to food, Brian Turner seemed the most fitting choice to help Flybe develop their on-board sandwich offering,” says Raymond Kiersey, Retail Sales General Manager, Flybe.

The latest enhancement to Flybe’s ‘Deli in the Sky’ menu is yet a further testament to Flybe’s commitment to offering customers even more value on their low fares flights, setting them apart from their low fares competitors.Ê The airline’s additional benefits include pre-assigned seating, offering more leg room than any other low fares airline, business lounge access and a frequent flyer programme.
