Wyndham Scores in Diversity

Wyndham International announced it has been named to both LATINA Style magazine’s “2005 LATINA Style 50” and Black Professionals Magazine’s “Top 25 Companies for African Americans” in 2005. One of the most respected sources of employment and career information for Hispanic women, LATINA Style’s annual Style 50 survey identifies the 50 best U.S. companies for Latinas to work for based on employee statistics, mentoring programs, affiliation with Hispanic affinity groups, recruitment techniques, vendor contracts, employee benefits, and advancement opportunities for women. Additionally, Black Professionals Magazine’s “Top 25 Companies for African Americans” highlights representation of African Americans in senior and middle management, corporate boards, corporate diversity programs in place, and overall workforce diversity initiatives.
“Wyndham provides a customized experience because we realize one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to our guests, so we want to create a diverse workforce that mirrors our clientele,” said Craig Cunningham, senior vice president of marketing. “We strive for an environment that recognizes and celebrates differences, which makes it so gratifying to be recognized for it.”
These honors are two of many accolades for Wyndham’s diversity commitment. As recently as July, the company received the No. 1 ranking on the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)‘s Lodging Industry Report Card, earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index, and placed on DiversityInc.‘s “25 Noteworthy Companies for Diversity.”
