AirTran Announces New Service

AirTran Airways
today announced the airline
will again expand its route map from Akron-Canton Airport with new seasonal,
nonstop service to Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft. Myers this
winter.  The daily flights, which will be served by the airline’s popular
Boeing 737 aircraft, will begin January 12, 2006, and run through May 3, 2006.“This is the third nonstop market we’ve added from Akron-Canton this year,
and we continue to be impressed with the demand we see from local travelers,”
said Kevin Healy, AirTran Airways’ vice president of planning.  “Seasonal
service to Ft. Myers will provide Northeast Ohio residents with the low-fare
option they want for their winter getaways.”
“We are thrilled that AirTran Airways is adding nonstop flights to Ft.
Myers, one of Northeastern Ohio’s favorite winter destinations,” remarked
Akron-Canton Airport Director Fred Krum.  “Now our passengers can enjoy
AirTran’s award-winning service to Florida’s hottest cities—Orlando, Tampa,
Ft. Lauderdale and now Ft. Meyers—at a price they can afford.  Thanks,
AirTran, for making Akron-Canton a better way to go.”
