Kor Launches Charity Hurricane Campaign

In the aftermath of one of our nation’s most severe natural disasters, Kor Hotel Group has launched its own multi-tiered charity campaign, Reachout2005.com, to combat Hurricane Katrina’s devastating blow to the Gulf Coast. The Los Angeles-based operator of distinctive boutique hotels has created customer- and company-based fundraising programs providing immediate aid to hurricane victims and the renewal of their lives. For guests wishing to share in Kor Hotel Group’s efforts, the company is offering “Relief Rates.” With this program, Kor Hotel Group will donate 10% of all reservations made under the Reach Out rate in September 2005 to the Hurricane Katrina Displacement Residents Fund. Guests need to make online reservations through reachout2005.com, korhotelgroup.com or any other Kor Hotel direct website and must fulfill their stay before the year’s end for donations to take effect.
Locals and travelers alike may also contribute while dining and entertaining at any of Kor’s restaurants and lounges, where 100% of the profit from New Orleans-inspired entrees will benefit hurricane relief. All of Kor Hotel Group’s properties are participating, including Viceroy Santa Monica, Viceroy Palm Springs, Chamberlain West Hollywood, Avalon and Maison 140 in Beverly Hills, Tides South Beach, Jefferson Washington D.C., Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica and Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles International Airport.
In addition, Kor Hotel Group’s parent company, The Kor Group, has announced that it will match dollar-for-dollar all donations personally made by its employees, offering them to choose between the American Red Cross and the Hurricane Katrina Displacement Residents Fund, so that internal efforts benefit individuals’ preferred avenue of aid.
