Hepple Jumps Islands to Trinidad and Tobago

The Tourism Development Company
Limited (TDC) has announced the appointment of Mr. James Hepple as its Director
of Tourism. The TDC is mandated to develop and promote Trinidad and Tobago’s
tourism product.
“I am very excited by the opportunity to join the latest addition to
Trinidad and Tobago’s tourism family and I am certainly looking forward to
contributing to the ongoing sustainable development and expansion of this
country’s tourism industry,” commented Mr. Hepple.

Jim brings to the post a wealth of experience having previously served as
Executive Director for the Curaçao Tourist Board for four years based in
Willemstad, Curaçao. During his four year tenure as Executive Director the
overall volume of stopover tourist arrivals increased by some 17%, with
particularly strong growth out of North America, whose arrivals grew by 45%,
and out of Europe, which grew by 36%. Between 1995 and 2001, Mr. Hepple
served as Deputy Director of Tourism with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism
based in Nassau in The Bahamas.

According to Mr. Vishnu Dhanpaul, President (Ag.), TDC, “Mr.
Hepple has worked in the Caribbean tourism industry for more than twenty
years and has an impeccable understanding of the region’s markets and more
importantly, reaching those markets.”
