Southwest Offers New Pittsburgh Service

Southwest Airlines announced today the addition of several new flights from Southwest’s newest
operations—Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.  The new service will begin later
this fall. “The response to Southwest service in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia has been
phenomenal,” said Gary Kelly, Southwest’s Chief Executive Officer.  “We are
thrilled to offer additional service in these cities to satisfy the high
demand for our low-fare service.”
Southwest will add eight daily nonstop flights this fall in Pittsburgh,
bringing the daily total nonstop departures to 19.  Pittsburgh Customers can
take advantage of the boost in service between existing cities, as well as
brand new nonstop service to Tampa Bay and Phoenix.  The airline also is
adding two additional daily nonstop departures in Philadelphia, bringing the
daily total nonstop departures in that city to 51.
