AirTran Expands Flint Market

AirTran Airways today announced the airline
will expand its route map again from Flint by adding new roundtrip flights to
Ft. Myers this fall. The new nonstop daily flights will begin November 8,
2005, and will be served by the airline’s popular Boeing 717 aircraft.“AirTran Airways continues to add exciting new non-stop destinations from
Flint Bishop International Airport,” said John Kirby, AirTran Airways Director
of Network Planning. “We are pleased to offer to our valued customers in Flint
and Northern Oakland County the youngest all-Boeing fleet in North America,
Business Class on every flight, and everyday low-fares to all destinations in
our network.”
  “A nonstop flight to Ft. Myers was our number one priority for additional
Florida service,” said Bishop International Airport Director Jim Rice.  “We
have had more requests for it than any other sunny destination. AirTran
Airways is incredibly in-tune with what the travelers in Southeast Michigan
want for air service.  Our partnership has benefited this entire region by
bringing top notch, low-fare service to business and leisure destinations
across the country.”
