More No-Frills Fares Bookable in MySabre

Sabre Travel Network has partnered with Dolphin Dynamics to give travel agents using the MySabre booking product access to more European no-frills airline fares.  Dolphin FlightScanner covers 56 no-frills, web-only and regional carriers, including easyJet, Ryanair and bmibaby.
The Dolphin product complements the range of no-frills carriers that are already distributing directly through the Sabre system.  In March the GDS operator announced that European no-frills carriers helvetic, Smart Wings and Niki had agreed to full participation. It has also negotiated access to Web-only fares from more than 30 conventional airlines participating in its DCA Three Year Option.

No-frills content from FlightScanner was previously only available in the GDS through the customisable Turbo Sabre booking product, used primarily by business travel agencies. Sabre Travel Network has extended this to MySabre, as part of its drive for a greater range of bookable content in the European leisure travel arena.

Since announcing its leisure focus in July last year, the company has made cruises, no-frills carriers, tours and more than 70,000 new hotels bookable on MySabre.

MySabre is a combination of technology from Sabre Holdings and Yahoo!  It is a Web based booking product for travel agents and combines traditional products bookable in the Sabre GDS, such as airlines, car hire, hotels, cruise and rail, with content from the Internet and third-party suppliers. It first appeared in British travel agencies late last year and has been responsible for a number of new business wins since.

Significantly, MySabre makes all booking and destination information available in one place. This includes published and private fares, and means agents don’t have to open numerous applications, switching from window to window, to make a booking.

David Brown, Sabre Travel Network’s vice president of travel commerce for Europe, said: “Our partnership with Dolphin Dynamics further demonstrates our commitment to provide no-frills content to our travel agency customers.”

Dolphin Dynamics President, Roberto Da Re, commented: “We are pleased to further expand our relationship with Sabre through this agreement and to be working together to offer more content to the customers we have in common.”
