Travelzoo has appointed Christopher Loughlin as senior vice president and
general manager, Travelzoo UK.  Effective immediately, Loughlin will
report to Travelzoo CEO Ralph Bartel to lead the development of the
company’s business in the U.K. and oversee the operations of Travelzoo
UK Ltd.
“In his 4 years at Travelzoo, Chris has led the company’s business
development in the U.S. with a strong focus on advertising revenue
growth and high quality content,” said Ralph Bartel, Travelzoo’s CEO.
“I believe that his talent and experience with Travelzoo’s media
business model, applied to the exciting and emerging business in the
U.K., will help us execute our growth strategy in this important
market.”

In 2003, Loughlin successfully managed the opening and expansion of
Travelzoo’s office in Chicago.

A native of the U.K., Loughlin began his career with Marks and Spencer
Group PLC in London, where he led initiatives to develop the company’s
first transactional Web site and Web TV venture.

Loughlin holds a bachelor of science degree in technology management,
with honors, from Staffordshire University and an MBA from Columbia
Business School.
