Le Grand Appoints New GM

Didier Boidin has been appointed General Manager for InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris as well as assuming the role of Regional Director of Operations.Ê As General Manager, Boidin’s responsibilities will include increasing the stature of the historical Parisian treasure, which was fully renovated in 2003.Ê As Regional Director of Operations, Boidin will oversee the daily business negotiations of InterContinental properties in the France and Mediterranean regions (including Greece, Italy, Spain, and Malta). Prior to his current appointment, Boidin spent 11 years as General Manager of the illustrious InterContinental Carlton Cannes.
Boidin proudly has 26 years of experience within the InterContinental Hotel Group, having held positions at the InterContinental Paris on the rue de Rivoli, the Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan, the InterContinental London, and the InterContinental Montreal.Ê Additionally, Boidin is quite familiar with the InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris, having held the position of Hotel Director from 1989 to 1991 and leading the initial phase of the hotel’s restoration project. As General Manager of the InterContinental Carlton Cannes, Boidin revitalized sales at the prestigious hotel, contributed in making Cannes the second largest conference city in France, and oversaw the extensive multimillion dollar renovation of the hotel.Ê

With its 470 bedrooms and 21 reception rooms, including the historic and opulent Salon Opéra, InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris is the largest traditional deluxe hotel in the French capital. It has 750 employees, 100 of whom exclusively work in the world-famous Café de la Paix.
