Algonquin Hotel Loans iPods to Guests

The Algonquin Hotel will offer guests the use of an iPod - which will be loaded with audio books on the hotel’s literary history as of May 2005.
“We’re thrilled to offer our guests the latest in technology in a
manner keeping with the great history and literary tradition of this
legendary hotel,” said Anthony Melchiorri, general manager of The
Algonquin Hotel.  “We already have complimentary Wi-Fi in our lobby
and plasma TVs in our guest rooms—now we’re providing our guests with
the latest way to catch up on their reading!”

The Algonquin’s iPods will come loaded with a variety of best-sellers
and modern classics, but additional titles can be added at guests’
request.  iPods will be loaned at no cost on a first come, first
serve basis for use in the hotel’s legendary lobby or in the comfort
of one’s own guest room.
