Dominica continues with what it knows best and opens another eco-resort
Dominica’s first wellness/adventure resort opened on March 1, 2005. Surrounded by 55-acres of lush tropical forest near Dominica’s World Heritage Park, this ecologically designed resort was built with volcanic stones and tropical hardwoods, blending a rustic feel with an elegant lifestyle. Fifty (50) spacious cottages of which 21 are readily available for use, perched on wooden posts, resemble a bird’s nest in a forest canopy. The resort offers a wide range of amenities, including two restaurants, YOGA studios, mini-conference center and gift shop.
The Spa du Soleil is perfect for those seeking relaxation and personal attention. Hike to breathtaking waterfalls and scenic vistas. Swim in salt and fresh-water pools. Ride a horse, Snorkel and Dive. Rates for the property are US$219 per night, double occupancy; $299 per night, single.
