Hon. John Maginley appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Environmental Healt
Antigua and Barbudas Health Minister the Hon. John Maginley will assume the responsibility of chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Environmental Health Institute (CEHI).
Minister Maginley will chair his first meeting in St. Lucia on March 11th at a meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Board of Directors of CEHI.
The main agenda items that will be discussed during the meeting are the Work Programme and the Budget for 2005. Renewal of contracts of the Programme Director, and the Information Services Director which recently came to an end, will also be addressed during the meeting.
The Caribbean Environmental Health Institute is an organ of CARICOM and is designed to provide leader to member states in order to improve and support policy development decisions that are consistent with the Caribbean Cooperation in Health CCH initiative and in collaboration with national, regional and international organisations.
Minister Maginley, who will be accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of
Health Mr. Lauchland Lake, will leave the country on Thursday 10th March for St.
Lucia.
