On April 8 100% chance of seeing hybrid eclipse in Curaçao
On April 8, 2005, your chances of seeing a hybrid eclipse are 100% if you are in Curaçao.
This rare form of eclipse, which begins as an annular eclipse (moon appears smaller than the sun), switches to a total eclipse (moon appears larger than the sun), and then swaps back to annular, will be able to be seen from select geographic locations, and the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao is one of them.
“What better place to experience this natural phenomenon then a Caribbean island - not only can you view this once in a lifetime event, but you can do it on a spectacular island with fabulous accommodations and plenty of culture, diversity and activities,” said Jim Hepple, Director of Tourism.
“You can turn this exceptional viewing event into a tropical vacation.”
