WORLDHOTELS Renews Contract with Cendant TDS

Cendant Travel Distribution Services and WORLDHOTELS today announced the renewal of the service agreement that provides WORLDHOTELS with access to Voyager CRS 5.0, Cendant’s state-of-the-art Central Reservation System (CRS). Operated by Cendant subsidiary TRUST International, Voyager CRS 5.0 gives WORLDHOTEL members access to a valuable suite of products and services, including Global Distribution System (GDS) connectivity, an Internet booking engine, data maintenance tools, business intelligence modules, centralized commission payment and global communication centers.

Voyager CRS 5.0 is one of the industry’s most innovative and comprehensive Web-based reservation systems, providing hotel companies with a strategic advantage over their competitor’s CRS systems through high performance, innovative data processing. Seamless next generation functionality connects Voyager to all GDS systems including Galileo, Sabre, Amadeus and Worldspan, to an expanding portfolio of online channels such as Expedia or Revenue Management System (RMS) programs such as IdeaS, EazyRMS and Maxims for processing hurdle rates which supply travel agents with real-time availability and rate information for its hotels.
The agreement includes WORLDHOTELS using Cendant’s Orlando, Frankfurt and Singapore call centers to accept voice reservations from over 33 countries worldwide, as well as utilizing a range of proactive telemarketing services around the globe.

Members of WORLDHOTELS will benefit from Voyager’s multi-lingual Internet booking engine and content management database, leading to faster data processing, better performance and enhanced navigation of specific property information through multiple booking channels, more accurate reporting and data warehousing of real-time data.

“We have come to appreciate TRUST as a very reliable partner for our distribution businesses for many years. It is important for us to stay at the forefront of distribution technology and services at all times in order to generate maximum revenues for our member hotels,” says Michael Ball, CEO, WORLDHOTELS. “Equally important for us is an aggressive expansion strategy on the Internet. We are pleased to see Cendant’s recent web acquisitions, such as ebookers and Orbitz, which allow us as TRUST customers to link our member portfolio directly into these important Internet players,” adds Ball.
“WORLDHOTELS and Cendant truly make a powerful team in the travel distribution services area, and we are pleased that our partnership is continuing well into the future. Our complementary services and long history together underlines our mutual commitment to evolve and adapt to the ever changing needs of our respective clients in the hospitality arena,” says Ken Esterow, executive vice president, Supplier Services, Cendant Travel Distribution Services.
