White River Valley Park and Chukka Caribbean Adventures join forces

On January 19th, 2005 two of the leading soft adventure operators in Ocho Rios joined forces to create what will undoubtedly be the most dynamic adventure park in the region. The historic merger between the White River Valley Park and Chukka Caribbean Adventures represents a strategic combination of resources and demonstrates the commitment of both companies to the ongoing growth and improvement of attraction offerings in Ocho Rios.“The Chai’s of White River had the vision to create a recreational facility unparalleled in the Caribbean,” said Marc Melville, Managing Director of the Chukka Caribbean Group. It is this vision, combined with the over 20 years of operational expertise that Chukka Caribbean brings to the union that promises to make the park a resounding success.

For some time now, the two operations competed with similar river tubing tours on the White River. Combined, the strengths of both companies will create not just an outstanding river tubing experience but will strengthen and diversify the general offerings of the White River Valley Park.

Already, there is significant excitement in the cruise shore excursion fraternity about the merger.

Graham Davis of Princess Cruise Lines says, “White River Valley allows our passengers the opportunity to enjoy many of Jamaica’s best shore excursions all in one convenient location. I have no doubts that now Chukka Cove has taken over the operation of this venue, we’ll see additional exciting tours in the near future.”

White River Valley, a 300 acre property in Cascade, St. Mary, is a nature lover’s dream come true. A quaint Jamaican village nestled in beautiful gardens and skirted by the White River. Here, thousands discover nature’s hidden wonders - magnificent rock formations, interesting flora and fauna whilst enjoying the sanctuary of Jamaica’s natural beauty.

Wayne Chai of White River Valley describes the merger as “a perfect marriage of a great facility and amazing marketing and operational skill which we are confident will allow us to realize the early goals we set for White River Valley”.
