The Caribbean should continue to vigorously promote sports as an important sector of the tourism industry which contributes significantly to the socio-economic development of the region, Pamela Richards, chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation has said.To back this sentimant up, Karen Ford-Warner, CTO’s acting secretary general believes the region must design appropriate plans and garner resources to develop an effective programme for sport tourism.
