Wotif.com Certified as Partner of InterContinental

Wotif.com
announces its certification by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) as one of the preferred online distribution channels for IHG’s hotels worldwide.
IHG’s decision in naming Wotif.com a certified partner was based on Wotif.com’s high standard of consumer practices and hotel relations.  IHG’s certification conditions centred on working with online third party distributors that engage in clear marketing practices, respect IHG’s trademarks, ensure reservations are guaranteed through an automated and common confirmation process, and clearly present the breakdown of fees to consumers.
Graeme Wood, CEO of Wotif.com commented: “We are extremely pleased with this announcement as it further strengthens our relationship with InterContinental Hotels Groups. Like Wotif.com, IHG has the customer’s best interest at heart.  Price transparency, backed by value, is pivotal for consumers who are now becoming more selective when choosing their accommodation.  From a supplier’s perspective, Wotif.com’s distribution model has been the core of our success since we started in 2000.  Our unique business concept not only benefits the customer, but our suppliers as well.  It allows hoteliers to control their own rates and inventory leading to higher yield.

“We strongly support IHG’s initiative to conduct business only with those online third party distributors that meet their standards.  IHG’s portfolio of hotels includes some of the most recognised and valued brands in the industry, which will compliment our existing inventory.”

Wotif.com’s European Manager, Matthew Harris agreed, saying: “We are delighted to welcome such a prestigious group as IHG into our ever increasing portfolio of partner hotels.  Our customers are always on the lookout for value and quality, whether it be a business stay or a short leisure break.  IHG’s brand represents these attributes and we look forward to working with them as we continue to grow our presence, and exposure, within Europe.”
