Jamaica announces increased visitor numbers

Jamaica has announced that its visitor arrivals were up by 9.5% during July and a further 2% in August, this was lauded by Director of Tourism Paul Pennicook who, when prompted about the recent Hurricane activity stated that Jamaica sustained “very little post-Ivan falloff in September.“Jamaica has recently initiated new hotel projects (along side continuing ones), and a new advertisement strategy in the UK press coupled with increased air service which Mr. Pennicook believes will ‘bode well for the winter and beyond into 2005.’

Jamaica will be the host of the next CHA Marketplace in January.
