David Huttner is to step down from his role as the Head of Strategy and Communications at Virgin Blue in December.
Mr. Huttner, who has been with Virgin Blue since the airline’s inception, is to return with his family to Europe in 2005, but will continue to work with the airline as an advisor.

Brett Godfrey, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Blue, said “David’s contribution to the success of the airline has been significant and I am therefore pleased that Virgin Blue will still be able to take advantage of his experience and expertise going forward on some of the projects we are currently working on.”

Mr. Huttner, a native of Colorado, USA and former travel agent, joined the Virgin Group in 1996 with Virgin Express Airlines in Brussels, Belgium in 1996. He moved to Australia in 2000, to assist in the launch of Virgin Blue.
