Amadeus, a leading global distribution system (GDS) and technology provider to the travel industry, announced today the appointment of Bill Barnes Amadeus UK’s Director of Sales. 
Bill is currently the Head of Amadeus Tours UK and within this role has been instrumental in developing the company’s leisure platform through its relationship with Comtec. Bill brings a wealth of experience to the Sales Director role, which has been gained, from his 20 years in the travel industry.

Having grown it’s market share within the UK by more than 300 percent over the past three years, Amadeus continues to be the fastest growing GDS Within this market. In addition to the strong growth that Amadeus has shown in the UK, the company has also maintained a client retention rate of more than 98 percent during the year-to-date.

Bill has taken over the role of Director of Sales at Amadeus UK from Peter Cacioppo.
