Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia’s leading luxury hotel group, has
appointed Kate Jones to the newly created position of public relations
manager, UK and the Middle East, reporting to the group’s director of
public relations for Europe and the Middle East, Karen Luard, based in the
London regional sales office.
Jones brings extensive public relations experience in tourism to the
position.  Most recently,  she held a senior marketing role with the Dubai
Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.  Previously, she was account
director at Weber Shandwick for seven years, where she directed accounts
for P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Swan Hellenic Cruises and the launch of
Ocean Village.
