Srilankan Airlines Implements MarketMaster

and SriLankan Airlines today announced a multi-year agreement that provides SriLankan Airlines with access to Shepherd’s MarketMaster. MarketMaster is a management system that offers a fast, uniform and fact-based traffic flow assessment on both existing routes and new route options.  It brings together data sources such as Market Information Data Transfer (MIDT) and revenue management.

MarketMaster is a user-friendly application that is fully managed by Shepherd Systems and accessed via the Internet without the need to implement additional hardware or software.  It’s designed to provide performance history for all markets, carriers and agencies based on true origin and destination, segment, class of service mixes, and customer-defined points of sale. MarketMaster is also able to project future performance by using up to 12 months of advanced booking data.  In addition to providing the ability to produce graphically rich standard reports and graphs, MarketMaster has advanced report generation features including automatic generation and e-mailing of results.

 

SriLankan Airlines will employ MarketMaster to identify cost savings and incremental revenue opportunities, and ultimately support key management decisions and strategies.  The system will also be utilized to track agency booking performance to identify sources of negative booking trends and identify agencies that have the potential to drive more volume and share to the airline.
