Air Jamaica pull flights to and from Jamaica owing to Ivan

Ivan is continuing to cause more problems to thee Caribbean as Jamaica preps itself for an unslaught of what are predicted to be 160 mph winds. Owing to this Air Jamaica announces the cancellation of all flights into and out of Jamaica, as well as all inter-island flights for tomorrow, Friday September 10, 2004 due to Hurricane Ivan.Tomorrow’s regularly scheduled Air Jamaica flights to the Eastern Caribbean (Antigua, Barbados, and St. Lucia) emanating from New York (JFK) will operate as planned, though service to Grenada continues to be suspended due to damage sustained the island’s Point Salines International Airport.
