New Luxury SpaFinder Magazine Debuts with September/October Issue

Spa Finder, Inc. has announced the
completion of a dramatic redesign and editorial upgrade of its 10-year-old
flagship title, Spa Finder Magazine, the world’s largest spa information
and lifestyle publication. Led by new Editor in Chief Gary Walther, the
re-titled Luxury SpaFinder Magazine debuted with its September/October
issue, and is available on newsstands nationwide.
Luxury SpaFinder Magazine will make its mark as the authority on luxury
spas and associated lifestyle pursuits for an emerging market of affluent,
health conscious consumers, anchored by a maturing baby-boomer generation
and younger aspirational life-stylers. To this end, the publication has
dramatically expanded its editorial scope, moving beyond spa-going and spa
property information to also cover a range of topics that are an integral
part of the luxury spa experience and aesthetic, including luxury travel,
home spa design and hardware, spa cuisine, wellness, beauty and
spa-inspired fashion.

“Today, the world of spa encompasses a spectrum of luxury experiences and
products,” said Spa Finder, Inc. CEO Pete Ellis. “In this sense, Luxury
SpaFinder Magazine will aim at the very heart of the luxury market.” With
45 million people going to U.S. spas each year, the spa industry is now
the fourth-largest leisure industry in the nation, with annual revenues
approaching $16 billion.

“The world of spas has come of age, and we’re keeping pace,” added Gary
Walther. “For a new breed of affluent travelers, the spa has become an
outlet for some of their most important lifestyle pursuits: escape,
wellness, fitness, stress-reduction, healing, vitality and beauty. Luxury
SpaFinder Magazine will be at the center of all of these cross-currents—
the point of connection for a vibrant luxury spa scene, and an audience
keen to experience it.”

Walther, the former Editor in Chief of Departures, is leading the
magazine’s editorial makeover with an appealing blend of regular features
that includes expert white papers on health and medical issues, profiles
of the people behind the luxury spa experience and the world’s most
luxurious spas, as well as late-breaking beauty, health and wellness
trends.

Luxury SpaFinder Magazine will remain a bi-monthly magazine publication.
Spa Finder, Inc. also publishes a spa directory for consumers and travel
agents, as well as The Spa Enthusiast, a quarterly publication distributed
in day spas and resort/destination spas worldwide.
