VEGAS.com Wins An Odyssey

The Travel Industry Association (TIA) announced today that VEGAS.com
, the most visited city web site worldwide, is the winner of the 2004 Odyssey Award in the prestigious category of Travel Marketing Domestic.Ê Ê


ÊOdyssey Award recipients will be formally honored at TIA’s Annual Awards Banquet, which takes place Thursday, October 28, 2004, during the TIA Marketing Outlook Forum in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona.

“We’re honored to be recognized for our creative approach to marketing and are proud that our methods have resulted in such strong growth,” VEGAS.com President Howard Lefkowitz said, referring to the company’s 475% revenue increase in the past year. “We pride ourselves on being the best and will continue to work to ensure that VEGAS.com remains the top choice for visitors to Las Vegas.”Ê

In May, VEGAS.com was named “Best Internet Shopping Service” in its category at the ninth annual EPpy Awards, joining other winners such as the online editions of The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, USA Today, the Washington Post and CNN.

Also in 2004, VEGAS.com has captured or been nominated for other prestigious honors includingÊ the Codie Awards from the Software & Information Industry Association for Best Online Consumer ServiceÊ and several awards from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association. Nortel Networks cited VEGAS.com for the site’s leadership and innovation in IP Telephony in regard to its call center operation.
