Hotwire Named Best Travel Web Site for Hotel Reservations

The Market Metrix Hospitality Index (MMHI) recently unveiled results of
its customer satisfaction report for the second quarter of 2004, awarding
Hotwire
top honors for hotel reservations on a travel Web site. Based on
feedback from 35,000 U.S.-based customers, the quarterly Market Metrix
Hospitality Index (MMHI) is the largest and most in-depth measure of
hotel, airline and car rental performance available today.

As part of the Market Metrix study, customers who booked travel online
were asked to rate their satisfaction with the experience on a scale of
one to seven. Travelers gave Hotwire the highest marks of all third-party
travel Web sites. This is the second time Hotwire received the highest
quarterly rating, having also ranked first in the fourth quarter of 2003.

“At Hotwire, we’re focused on two things—giving customers a great price
and a great overall travel experience,” said Gregg Brockway, chief product
officer at Hotwire.com. “We recognize that when you’re away from home and
rest your head on a hotel pillow, it’s gratifying to know that your money
is well spent.”

Hotwire’s discount hotel rates save customers up to 75 percent every day,
allowing price-conscious travelers to book a four-star hotel for a
two-star price. In fact, rates are so low, they’re backed by the
industry’s most aggressive guarantee. Find a lower rate within 48 hours of
booking, and Hotwire will refund double the difference. Hotwire offers
deeply discounted rooms at more than 7,000 hotels in North America,
including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
