Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Ms. Elizabeth A. DeMotte as Vice President Public Relations, effective September 2004.
In her new position, Ms. DeMotte will be responsible for Shangri-La’s public relations network with own public relations offices in New York, Beijing and London, as well as appointed PR agencies which will represent Shangri-La in key markets.

Most recently, Ms. DeMotte had her own public relations consultancy based in Miami, Florida, USA. Previously, she was Vice President, Communications for ResidenSea Ltd., which launched “The World” - the first luxury ocean liner composed of privately owned, ultra-deluxe apartments. Prior to that, she spent 10 years with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., in Hawaii and Asia Pacific, including a post as Regional Director of Public Relations, Asia-Pacific from 1997 to 2001.
