Hilton Cancun is undergoing US$10 million renovation

As part of its US$10 million makeover he Hilton Cancun Beach & Golf Resort will begin construction of the 12,000-sq.-ft., Mayan-inspired Wellness Spa in July, which is then set to open Dec. 31 and will offer yoga sessions, aromatherapy, beachside massage and more.  A special lighting system will provide a soft, relaxing glow, while the Zen-like elements of natural stone, tropical woods and even sand will create an all-natural and soothing atmosphere. In addition, the Wellness Spa, with its seven treatment rooms, two saunas and an open Jacuzzi welcomes spa-goers to a true island of relaxation.

In addition all 426 guestrooms and villas are receiving a total makeover with an interior design lift by Mexico’s well-known Grupo Diarq architecture and design firm, which is using Caribbean shades of palm green, sea blue and soft sand to provide tropically elegant spaces that bring the natural beauty of the resort’s outdoor surroundings inside.

Original Mexican artwork and palm plants will complement oversized armoires, Mayan décor and imported teak balcony furniture.

New 27-inch TVs for guestrooms and 32-inch TVs and Jacuzzis for suites are more of the latest upgrades. To make guestrooms more laptop friendly, each lamp base will house an electrical outlet.
